p-NET is an international research and innovation driven Competence Centre for emerging smart networks and services. It is a Greek SME with the mission to support verticals in their digitalization journey. Solid expertise on advanced technologies such as private 5G, IoT, Edge Cloud, AI, Metaverse, XR, coupled with state-of-the-art testing and integration facilities and proof-of-concept capabilities, enable p-NET to support businesses across the entire digitalization spectrum, from concept development to full-scale deployment. p-NET provides a private 5G core network, acting as a playground for deploying 5G and beyond test cases and testing applications. Operating under the Network Slice as a Service (NSaaS) model, the facility offers customized network slices tailored to the needs of different verticals. Each vertical utilizes these slices to conduct trials for a range of use cases, assessing and documenting KPIs under diverse network conditions.
Role in the project
p-NET will leverage its testing facility and infrastructure, working in close collaboration with the University of Patras (UoP) to integrate the ACROSS platform over the testbed. This collaboration will focus on key aspects such as cross-domain orchestration, telemetry, and analytics integration, ensuring seamless data flow and operational insights. p-NET will support the design, development, and deployment of comprehensive testing cases, tailored to meet the interconnection and interoperability requirements of remote testing sites and infrastructures. The preparation of the testbed will include designing the core infrastructure at the UoP premises, while ensuring proper connectivity through individual tests aligned with specific use case needs.
In addition, p-NET will provide valuable industry insights into the migration paths and requirements for 5G-assisted automation in various vertical industries. Through its involvement, p-NET will play a critical role in validating the interoperability of ACROSS while facilitating a smooth integration of next-generation technologies.
